A weekly reset really helps me to feel ready for the new week ahead. I honestly love having a weekly reset routine. Mainly, because I love the relaxing that I get to do after. Every person’s week looks different and so a weekly reset might include different activities or tasks based on your goals and your lifestyle.
*helpful tip: set a specific day of the week for your weekly reset.
— I like to do mine on Saturday, its a good way to close out my week, and prepares me for the week ahead so that I’m not stressed on Monday, but it also allows me to use Sunday as a more self-care/rest day to start off my week.
So here is the reset routine that I’ve been loving and that works for me!
- Tidy & Put Everything Away
- Deep Clean-wipe everything down, do all the dishes, vacuum, mop, etc.
- Wash Laundry-and put it away! I am guilty of letting my clean laundry sit for days on a random chair after I’ve done it, so during my weekly reset I really make sure to put it all away as soon as it is done
- Change Bed Sheets & Make Bed-there is nothing better than crawling into a fresh clean bed after a long reset day
- Workout-I like to include this as a task in my reset so that if the week gets crazy and I don’t get to my other workouts, I was at least able to get one in
- Meal Plan & Grocery Shopping-I like to do my meal prepping on Sundays
- Take an “Everything” Shower-a nice refreshing, nourishing shower to unwind at the end of your busy reset day
- Review Previous Week & Plan New Week-I like to do this at the end of the day, while unwinding with a cup of tea, or enjoying a little treat (you deserve it!)
Each week is a new chance to work towards our goals and dreams, or to focus on taking care of ourselves. And having a weekly reset just helps with setting you up for success in whatever it is you are working on. Each person’s reset will look different, and every week will be different, if you don’t get to every task during your reset, don’t stress. You can do it the next day or do it the next week, just do your best. Weekly resets are supposed to help you, not stress you out, so do what works for you!
