September Reset

August Recap

*favorite read: I didn’t finish any books in August…which feels nuts! I just really could not get into anything. I was in a HUGE reading slump. However, I have recently started a book that has already got me super invested, so I think September will be a big reading month.

*favorite movie & show: Twisters & The Umbrella Academy-season 4. Okay, so Twisters was THE movie of the summer, just so fun and so good. And season 4 of The Umbrella Academy was just a great ending. I don’t think it was my favorite of all of the seasons, but in all such a good, solid show.

*best habit: not so much a habit, but I really focused on my social battery this month. One of the main reasons I wanted to move back to the West coast was to be closer to family and friends and this month I really tried to not feeling guilty for ignoring certain “responsibilities” to spend time with loved ones. And honestly it was so nice<3

*new music: -Unaired Ep by Hozier and Short n’ Sweet by Sabrina Carpenter

*favorite purchase: this camping chair I got from Amazon was honestly a game changer for the summer’s last camping trips! I’d really so comfortable and I’m obsessed with all of the pockets

*other fun things: I ended up going to two concerts in August, both were quite last minute and of artists I absolutely love! (Aly&AJ and Joshua Bassett). And they were both outdoor concerts which was an activity on my summer bucket list, so they were so fun and I am so glad I got to go to those.

One of my favorite months of the year is finally here! I love this first month heading into fall and towards the holidays. This summer was so fun, but I’m a cold weather girl through and through so now that fall is officially coming, I am thriving! I am feeling so inspired and motivated, and just can’t wait for all the magic that is going to come with this month and season.

AFFIRMATION: Consistency over Motivation –this has been a sort of constant phrase in my mind over the last few months, and I really saw a difference in my mindset around tasks change as I kept it in my thoughts. So this month I really want to dedicate to keeping it at the forefront of my mind especially because of my focus for the month!

FOCUS: Refreshing Routines — Summer was full of so many adventures, but I do feel like my routines and habits kind of fell on the back burner. And I love a good routine, so I am excited to have some time to dedicate to rebuilding them.

GOALS: — finish at least 4 books — daily yoga — romanticize fall — wake up 30 minutes earlier than last month — spend more time outside
